The Goodreads Booktag That Will Tell You Everything About Me

I nabbed this wonderful tag from Esther @ Queen of Fantasy. Now you get to read all about my Goodreads life. Go check me out! MY GOODREADS PROFILE

What is the last book you marked as ‘read’?

This book is the reason I’m in another slump. THANKS SCHWAB. It was so bloody and heart wrenching and FABULOUS. Can I gush enough about this book? NO. No I cannot.

If you haven’t readΒ This Savage Song go read it RIGHT NOW so that you may read this book and have all of your feels smashed upon.

What are you currently reading?

I have been reading this book for far too long. More than a week. It’s killing me. WHY CAN’T I READ FASTER? You think on holiday you would have more reading time. But I seem to want to do other things. Like sleep.

I WILL finish this book. Because it is good. I’ll admit, a bit slow in the beginning. But it’s the intro to a new series so I shall let it slide. Because the characters are wonderful and loveable. In a rascals-are-loveable type of way.

What is the last book you marked as ‘To-Read’?

LOOK AT THAT TITLE. Of course I’m curious as to whether they both truly do die at the end! Curiosity will be my downfall. Plus, it has good ratings on Goodreads. That means it must be good, yeah?

What book do you plan to read next?

Crooked Kingdom because I need to finish this duology. It’s a must. And the sprayed edges 😍

AND THE COVERS. The covers were the reason I first bought these books. I’m a sucker for beautiful covers.

Do you have any favorite quotes? Share a few!

Umm, I’m like the worst at keeping track of quotes. It’s something I need to improve upon. That being said, here are a few quotes:

“I’d rather die on an adventure than live standing still.”

V.E. Schwab, A Darker Shade of Magic

“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic.”

J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

“I like to have powerful enemies. Makes me feel important.”

Leigh Bardugo, Siege and Storm

Who are your favorite authors?

SO MANY. I shall try to narrow it down. To three. Don’t ask for less because I can’t.

  • J.K. Rowling: Because she is the reason that there is magic in our lives. And for my favorite movies of childhood.
  • Victoria Schwab: The Queen of all books. She messes with my feels AND I LOVE IT (and hate it; it’s a complicated relationship).
  • Marissa Meyer: She gets to be the Queen of retellings. I’m in love with her Lunar Chronicles series. The amount of caring I had for all of her characters was real.

Have you joined any groups?

If I am in any groups, I don’t recall any. So this could get awkward if I am in some πŸ™ˆ

EVERYONE, I CHOOSE YOU. Maybe because I’m lazy or maybe because I love you all. Let’s go with the latter.

What are some of your recent reads? What does your tbr look like? Any authors you love that I need to check out?

WHO NEEDS SLEEP. Prop those eyelids up! Tape and toothpicks are popular tools! But I’m so happy you did this tag and that you are reading SoC because LUUUURVE 😍
Also relating so hard on that ODD book hangover 😭

SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK! And yet, my body tries to tell me otherwise. PSHHH. Like it knows best. I need to get through SoC. I NEED IT. This is the problem with holidays. I think I’ll read a ton and then I read NOTHING. And yes, the ODD hangover is real and hard and apparently TAKES FOREVER 😫
